There have been much concern about backward compatibility in Windows 8.  Microsoft has now confirmed the OS will include Hyper-V virtualization support, meaning multiple old operating systems, including 32bit on 64bit, can be supported without endangering the stability of Windows 8 itself. “In building Windows 8 we worked to enable Hyper-V, the machine virtualization technology that has been part of the last 2 releases of Windows Server, to function on the client OS as well,” said Hyper-V program manager Mathew John.
