Microsoft has launched a pilot project in the rural Limpopo province of South Africa that aims to deliver high-speed and affordable broadband to underserved communities using so-called “white spaces” technology.  The focus of the pilot will be to prove that TV white spaces can be used to meet the South African government’s goals of providing low-cost access for a majority of South Africans by 2020.  The pilot is a joint effort between Microsoft, the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, the University of Limpopo and local network builder Multisource. According to latest data form Net Applications, Internet Explorer gained 0.50 percentage points between September and October while Firefox lost 0.09 % and Google Chrome lost 0.31% and  Apple Safari lost 0.05%. Internet Explorer 9 for the first time reached 20% market share. All version of IE together held a 54.13% market share and I guess this number will further go up with the release of Internet Explorer 10 in the coming months. What browser are you using everyday?
