Microsoft today released Visual Studio Tools for Unity 1.9 to developers. Microsoft announced earlier this month that they have acquired following SyntaxTree, the developer behind the popular UnityVS Visual Studio add-on for developers building games on the Unity framework. Microsoft is releasing it again under their branding along with the new update which will have the following new features. What’s new in v1.9 release?  Start your game and your debugging session in one click. Developers using Visual Studio 2012 or 2013 can now attach the debugger and start their game by simply changing the debug target. Faster startup. Opening VSTU projects is now faster. Faster debugger. Performance of attaching and detaching the debugger, as well as expanding local variables, has been improved. Better handling of C# constructs. Microsoft today announced that they have acquired SyntaxTree, the developers of the UnityVS plugin for Visual Studio. UnityVS enables Unity developers to take advantage of the productivity of Visual Studio to author, browse and debug the code for their Unity applications. Already today, dozens of the biggest names in game development rely on Visual Studio and the UnityVS plugin. Google has today released the Hangouts plugin for Microsoft Outlook. With this plugin, you can now schedule meetings and join Hangouts video calls from Microsoft Outlook. Schedule a Hangouts video call with other Outlook users in your company with a single click. Join a scheduled Hangouts video call by opening the meeting in Outlook and clicking the Hangouts video call link. Google Apps for Business users can schedule Hangouts video calls with other Outlook users in their company with the Hangouts Plugin for Microsoft Outlook®. This plugin is also used by Chromebox for meetings organizations that do not have Google Apps for Business. The plugin adds a video call name to the Microsoft Outlook event, and participants join the video call from a Chromebox for meetings device by entering the video call name using the remote control. Bing Code Search for Visual Studio 2013 helps developers find and reuse code samples on the web more easily by bringing the code search experience directly into Visual Studio.
