Lenovo Group today announced their record financial results for its Q3 ended December 31, 2013. The quarterly revenue was US$10.8 billion, a 15 percent increase year-over-year, passing the US$10 billion milestone for the first time ever. Despite the slow down in the PC industry, Lenovo has shown strong growth in the PC segment. It continued to expand lead as number one PC maker with 18.5% market share. Lenovo’s PC shipments for the third fiscal quarter were 15.3 million units. This is a great example for other Windows OEMs who blames Windows for their declining sales. At its earnings reports released yesterday, Microsoft announced that the Surface devices sold more than double the units than previous quarter. While tech press is arguing whether Microsoft is a consumer company or an enterprise company, the actual number speaks for itself. Microsoft revealed that 55% of its revenue comes from the Enterprise, 19% from OEMs and 20% from consumer and services. Also they have 5 diverse business groups each contributing revenue significantly except Bing & Online. too often for you by customer segment.
