While a number of mainstream news outlets have reported the L.A. Clippers have been bought by ex-Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for $2 billion, it appears this is untrue. Mr. Ballmer’s bid is said to be very strong and is heavily favored in the deal but the transaction has not finalized yet. The deal will likely be finalized tomorrow. Donald Sterling’s ex-wife is currently reviewing all offers. There has been an immense amount of outrage online over the reports Mr. Ballmer would be buying the team. Many had hoped the team would be sold to an African American such as Magic Johnson or Oprah Winfrey. TMZ reports Shirley Sterling met with former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer Sunday afternoon to discuss the sale of the Clippers (a professional American Basketball team). The NBA (National Basketball Association) is forcing the Clippers owner Donald Sterling to sell the team after racist remarks were leaked by his girlfriend V Stiviano.
