Microsoft today announced a basic pricing tier for Azure Web Sites as part of the April update. Microsoft already has Free, Shared, or Standard mode for running websites and this Basic mode is a new one. This new Basic pricing tier includes all the core Azure Web Sites abilities which allows you to run production sites at a lower cost.
