Microsoft today posted couple of videos to demonstrate two main features of Xbox One. One is the new snap view which allows you to multitask on Xbox One. Microsoft has started releasing TV commercials to promote its upcoming Xbox One entertainment console. The latest commercial is titled “Xbox One: Retirement Home”. It features former NFL stars Ray Lewis and Brian Urlacher discussing about their lives after retirement through Xbox One. Yes, you can view SkyDrive albums shared with you along with your own content. Microsoft downloads a 1080p thumbnail of the photo you view, but when you want to zoom and pan, Microsoft downloads the full version of the photo.   Microsoft has added Blu-ray disc support in Xbox One, but that doesn’t mean that Microsoft will also support 3D Blu-ray playback. Microsoft has confirmed to CNET that Xbox One won’t support 3D Blu-ray playback at launch. When I first read this news, I was like, “Does it really matter?”. First of all, there are very few 3D Blu-ray content available right now and it can be played only on a appropriate 3D TV setup. However, people with lots of 3D Blu-ray content would be disappointed at this news. Xbox Director of Product Planning Albert Penello confirmed on Twitter that Xbox One owners who are Xbox Live Gold subscribers will have access to free Xbox music streaming supported with ads. This is similar to free music streaming on Windows 8 PCs and music.xbox.com. But this differs from Xbox 360, where users must hold an Xbox Live Gold subscription ($50/year) and an Xbox Music Pass ($10/month) to access the streaming service.
