Microsoft Game Studios’ chief Phil Spencer spoke at SXSW Gaming panel yesterday. He said that his company’s new senior leadership is in great support for Xbox despite rumors that Microsoft might sell off Xbox division. Last week, Microsoft confirmed that they are revealing DirectX 12 at GDC on March 20, 10AM. All leading GPU makers AMD, Intel, Nvidia and Qualcomm are on board. The event page had only Windows logo at the bottom leading to speculation about whether Xbox One platform will be supported. Washington Post today reported that Microsoft handed out promotional materials Thursday at CPAC, the annual conference for conservatives to promote its advertising system for targeting political ads. A Reddit user FallenFusion has posted a massive leak on the upcoming Titanfall game which will be released on March 11 on Xbox One and PC and on March 25 on Xbox 360. The leaks include new maps, screenshots, game modes and more. The leaker also offered a screenshot with the image players normally see when they have the chance to regenerate. Titanfall’s levelling system called “Generations” allows players who have reached the maximum level to reset back, and although all weapons and upgraded unlocked will be lost, gamers will be allowed to keep their Burn Cards. This way, players can become second-generation pilots and have ten generations to complete. NSA, USA’s Surveillance Agency is now helping UK’s Surveillance Agency GCHQ in intercepting and storing the webcam images of millions of internet users not suspected of wrongdoing, revealed secret documents obtained by The Guardian. The project called Optic Nerve,  started as a prototype in 2008 and was still active in 2012. “Face detection has the potential to aid selection of useful images for ‘mugshots’ or even for face recognition by assessing the angle of the face,” it reads. “The best images are ones where the person is facing the camera with their face upright.” The report also revealed that lots of sexually explicit content was also collected and GCHQ struggled to keep it away from the eyes of its staff.
