During Xbox One announcement, Microsoft made it clear that Xbox 360 games won’t be compatible with Xbox One. Since then, there were lots of speculations on how Microsoft is going to address this consumer pain point. Early this year, Microsoft announced that Microsoft Studios has acquired the rights to the “Gears of War” franchise from Epic Games. The deal included rights to all existing and future games, entertainment experiences and merchandise. NPD Group today released their February gaming industry report. Xbox One continues selling at a record-breaking pace with 258,000 units sold in the U.S. in the month of February, surpassing Xbox 360 sales by over 61 percent at the same point in time. But the bad news is that Sony’s PS4 still leads Xbox One sales by about 10% in the US.
