At Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) today, Microsoft unveiled a spectacular lineup of games from some of the world’s best game studios. I guess Microsoft should be pretty confident on their E3 announcements. Because, they are continuing to make major announcements every other week despite the fact that E3 event is just a week away. Microsoft today revealed that their next installment in their flagship racing series Forza Horizon 2 is in development for Xbox One and Xbox 360 and due for release this fall. Previously, Forza Horizon was released for Xbox 360 and Forza Motorsport 5 for Xbox One. This Forza Horizon 2 will be available on both the platforms and it is being developed by Horizon 1 studio Playground Games collaborating closely with the Motorsport team at Turn 10 Studios. Microsoft last month announced that they are launching Xbox One in China in September. Thanks to the partnership with BesTV, Xbox One will also be the first system of its kind to launch in China. Launching Xbox One in China is a significant milestone both Microsoft and for the industry. Today, Sony made a similar announcement that they are launching PS4 in China. Sony’s will also be working with a local company called Shanghai Oriental Pearl Culture Development. Yesterday, Microsoft confirmed that the next installment in the Halo saga: Halo 5: Guardians, coming in fall 2015 for Xbox One. Engadget today reported that Microsoft is working on bringing ‘Halo: The Master Chief Collection’ for Xbox One which will be released later this year. This Halo collection is expected to include Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 4 and are being collected in a Master Chief-focused HD remaster coming from Microsoft.
