Watch the Season 4 Game of Thrones Premiere for FREE on Xbox Video Tomorrow

Unless you’ve been living under a rock the past few years I’m sure you are well aware of the popular HBO tv show Game of Thrones.  HBO is typically available as a premium subscription on top of a traditional cable tv subscription. Most subscribers also get access to HBO GO, which allows them to watch content on the web and through HBO GO apps.  Viewer demand caused the service to crash Sunday night during the season 4 premiere of Game of Thrones. Over 6.6 million people tuned in, making it the largest viewership for HBO since since The Sopranos series finale in 2007.  Last month, HBO Go was also overwhelmed and became largely unusable during the season finale of True Detective.

While there is a HBO GO app for the Xbox 360 there is not one currently not available for the Xbox One. The reason behind this is currently unknown and whether it is HBO or Microsoft behind the holdup.  Luckily for Xbox One users, the season premiere is coming to Xbox Video and will be available to stream for free starting from tomorrow through April 14.

A little of topic here, but did anyone watch the premiere of “Silicon Valley” or “Turn?”  I thought Silicon Valley was terrible and “Turn” seemed like it had potential. Oh and GoT was great as usual.  Share your comments below.

Don’t care for Period drama. Only exceptional drama (wherein the drama holds forth over the period) is watchable to me, (i.e GoT. And yes I know it’s fantasy, but given it’s initial start, well you get the idea).

Well, I don’t get your meaning but if you are into complex stories with amazing, strong characters with very entertaining plots you would like GoT. But as you’ve only watched the first 10 min of the first episode, (by the sound of it), you are missing an incredible show. But that’s cool, everyone has their own taste in shows.

        I see you didn’t understand

Well there you go… I knew it had to be my eyes and brain not playing well together .. (I’ll have to check out Audible (that’s the only way I can read for leisure), to see if Greg Bear’s SEP is available). Cheers Bugbog
