Samsung’s Series 7 tablet announced recently
Microsoft is expected to lift the shroud around Windows 8 fully next week at its BUILD conference, and there are strong rumours of a developer beta of the OS being released.
However with Windows 8 also being a touch-centric tablet OS a software beta would be useless without some hardware to run it on.
According to Korea Economic Daily, citing an industry source, Microsoft will be handing out a Samsung-produced tablet running Windows 8 at conference.
According to the source "This new product manufactured by Samsung will be the company’s first collaboration with Microsoft in its hardware devices.”
Samsung announced its Series 7 Windows 7 tablet at IFA last week, and its rumoured Windows 8 tablet may have the same form factor.
BUILD runs from September 13-16.
