We already know about the changes that are coming in Windows 8.1 Update 1 in which Microsoft is trying to address the concerns of keyboard/mouse users of Windows 8.1. I like this change set. MS should have done this much earlier to make mouse users happy. They were too aggressive before.

    • Nham Thien Duong

I’m a mouse user and I have little (actually no) trouble with the present interface. :-

    • Emi the Strange

ehmmm… I use Mouse 95% of the time to navigate, not even keyboard shorcuts, and this update 1 is adding NOTHING.
Windows 8.1 works perfect with mouse… and sometimes better than xp, vista and 7 combined.

WHAT concerns of keyboard and mouse users? I don’t have a SINGLE PROBLEM with the keyboard & mouse use of 8.1. What kind of lame individual can’t use a keyboard & mouse with 8.1? I’m so sick of great software being ruined by fools.

    • iLove2argue

im with ur side dude. same opinion of you no problems with 8.1 with mice and kboards..

    • NegLewis

Maybe they are referring to default Virtual Keyboard – Missing keys Issues.

    • Liquid55

I have no issues either, but I think for some, who may be less computer-inclined, some functionality was not very discoverable.

    • Bugbog

Alas 70 – 90% of users (by volume) are “fools!”

  • Nham Thien Duong

I see what you did there Microsoft, I really hope that that search button is in reality Bing Smart Search, then we’ll always be 1 button away from Bing. 😛

    • Wanderlei Santos

I hope it can be turned off, since you can just type to search, button is a wasted click/tap.
