Windows 8 Build 81xx Developer preview to be widely released at BUILD

image

According to the folks at the My Digital Life forum Microsoft will be handing out Build 81xx of Windows 8 to developers at BUILD in Anaheim tomorrow.

imageUnlike previously however it is also believed this software will also be made more widely available, with the official BuildWindows8 account tweeting:

“… getting the pre-release bits …. will be easy and not a secret

Hopefully what will be released will also be pretty fully featured, to give us a clear idea of what to expect when the OS is released towards the end of next year.

would be so awesome if they had public betas like they did with windows 7 and that workec out great for the OS.

I think that is likely to occur since it really worked out well for them for Windows 7. However, Windows 8 is probably far from being Beta at this stage. I’d guess its more a matter of time, but would be safe to not *expect* the release in BUILD (if any) to be a beta.
