Awesome, these will kill the competition. What about processors and RAM?

    • Thomas Bundgaard

Probably hard to settle on, since it’ll support both ARM and x86.

I like the specs, but 10Gb free space??? Really??? They made the same mistake by allowing 8gb total space on windows phone, it’s not ok. It should be minimum 30 gigs, especially for a convertible PC.

      Minimum of 10gb is fine.

As long as we have MUCH bigger options.

I’m almost certain we will.  Hopefully some will even have removable hard drives.

It’s going to be FAR more than 10 GB
10 GB is for the install of the OS
however I want to see an increase in RAM and GPU…which this doesn’t give…
    And a higher resolution

the 10 GB is EXTRA after the install of the OS. Not for the OS. the extra 10GB is for us to use as we see fit.
However the extra 10GB will not be enough. they need to include SD card slots as a requirement as well so we can plug in a 32GB micro SD card and store our pictures, videos, music on that and leave the extra 10GB for system resources.

its going to be more for convertible
        I haven’t seen a 10 gb post storage since the early 00s…it won’t happen

        • HckrAdm2005

Good point and most manufactures will do more the 10GB. if they don’t I doubt they will really sell and would be chastised by the IT community.

People, these are MINIMUMS. Some peeps sure get might angry right away without thinking about these things. I’m pretty sure we can find some android tablets that have lower specs than these all day long. These minimums are to ensure people have a consistent experience.

I like having minimum specs but what about the camera one?  I don’t know if I would ever use a camera on a tablet and I would like to see cheaper options available without one.  Maybe Skype had some influence on that one.

Great move! I like the way they pulled this off with WP7 and hope to see the same quality implementation in Win8.
