Microsoft has updated the SmartGlass Xbox 360 app for Android to officially support 7 inch tablets like the Google Nexus 7.

The app will now be officially available in the Google Play store for these devices.

Ugh. I understand what they are doing from a business perspective, but they are hurting Windows Phone distinguishing features by doing it. It’ll never carve itself out at the “3rd” ecosystem if you don’t have use a Windows Phone for any of these great Microsoft services.

Understandably, Microsoft wants to diversify it’s services and get it out there to as many people as possible. I just hate that I just bought a Lumia 920, and Android devices can do everything I can do, too. In the future, I can see the only distinguishing feature of Windows Phones will be live tiles. :/
